At We Are Adventurers, we believe in the power of outdoor learning and exploration. That’s why we’re launching an exciting Journey Stick Competition this February half-term, perfect for kids and families who love nature, creativity, and a bit of adventure!
What is a Journey Stick?
Journey sticks are an ancient storytelling tool used to document travels. As you explore the outdoors, you collect natural treasures like leaves, feathers, twigs, or flowers and attach them to a stick, creating a beautiful, visual memory of your journey.
It’s a fantastic way for children to engage with nature, use their creativity, and develop mindfulness while making their very own outdoor artwork. Plus, it’s completely free and can be done anywhere, whether you’re heading to the park, the woods, or just exploring your local area.
How to Enter the Competition
Taking part in the Journey Stick Competition is easy! Here’s how you can join in:
- Watch our step-by-step guide from Paul on our Facebook or Instagram page.
- Head out on an adventure and produce your journey stick
- Share your Journey Stick with us at ben@democracypr.com. A valid entry must include a clear, unedited, and untampered photo of the journey stick, the child’s name and age and Parent/Guardian permission to enter the competition.
All entries must be submitted by 23rd February 2025.
What Can You Win?
We’ll be selecting 1 lucky winner to receive a We Are Adventurers Merchandise gift box, including a t-shirt (size small), branded rucksack, water bottle and buff!
The winner will be announced on the 24th February 2025.
