Introducing Dad-venturers – A Forest School Experience for the Whole Family

This Father’s Day, skip the socks and head into the woods with Dadventurers, a new outdoor event from We Are Adventurers that’s all about making memories, getting muddy, and celebrating fatherhood through hands-on family fun.

Taking place on Sunday, the 15th June at Brookburn Primary School in Chorlton, the Dad-venturers session invites families to take part in a full forest school style adventure, packed with fire lighting, den building and campfire cooking.

Tickets are £35 per family and can be booked now.

What to Expect

Families will join our experienced Forest School leaders to:
Learn how to light a fire using traditional flint and steel
Cook sausages over an open flame.
Team up for a den building challenge, with the winning family taking home the Dad-venturers Cup.

The event is open to families with children aged 4 to 11 and is designed to offer a fun, hands-on alternative to the usual Father’s Day gifts.

  • Where will the event be held?

    Brookburn Primary Primary School, Brookburn Rd, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester M21 8EH
    Access via the rear entrance. Please park in the car park opposite the Bowling Green pub and walk down the cobbled lane if possible.

  • Who Can Attend?

    While the event is themed around Father’s Day, mums, grandparents and other grown-ups are absolutely welcome. It’s a celebration of time together, whatever your family looks like.

  • Practical Info

    There are two sessions planned:

    10am – 12 noon
    1pm – 3pm

    Please bring appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes and your own water bottles.

    Places are limited and expected to book up quickly.
