In our latest OFSTED inspection (May 2026) our Holiday Club was assessed to be of a Strong Standard.
As an Ofsted-registered provider, this recognition is a significant milestone for We Are Adventurers and reflects the dedication of our team, as well as the continued support of the children and families who attend our holiday clubs.
The inspection recognised a number of strengths across the setting. Ofsted praised the positive and well-structured environment, where children quickly understand routines and expectations, build warm and trusting relationships with staff, and enthusiastically take part in a wide range of outdoor activities. The report also highlighted our inclusive approach, recognising how staff understand each child’s individual needs and adapt activities so every child can participate with confidence.
Inspectors also noted that children’s safety, interests and wellbeing are clearly prioritised throughout the day. They described the setting as a “warm, engaging and well-organised outdoor environment”, where children are encouraged to explore nature, build confidence and develop independence, while staff carefully balance adventurous play with appropriate safety measures.
Speaking about the achievement, We Are Adventurers founder Paul said:
“I started We Are Adventures 13 years ago and in that time, we’ve helped a thousands of children to grow in confidence and self belief as they learn about taking risks, discover new skills, make new friends and unlock an understanding for the natural world that will last them a lifetime.
“To achieve a Strong Standard is incredible. The report recognises our outstanding leaders, the behaviour of the children, our inclusive approach and the activities we provide, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together.”
The report also confirmed that safeguarding standards are met and that St John’s meets both the compulsory and voluntary Childcare Register requirements, meaning families can continue to use eligible childcare vouchers when booking places at the holiday club.
As we look ahead, this recognition reinforces our commitment to providing children with safe, inclusive and memorable outdoor experiences, while continuing to build on the high standards recognised by Ofsted.
