We Are Adventurers was founded in January 2013 by Forest School practitioner, cub leader and former British soldier, Paul Wilcox and his wife, Jennifer. They have two children Eamon and Orlaith.
We believe every child can benefit emotionally, intellectually and physically by time spent in the great outdoors. We want to inspire every child to learn through adventure and give every parent an opportunity to be part of the experience.
Today, we have a number of qualified Forest School practitioners and support workers who are invaluable in helping us to deliver forest school programmes in schools and nurseries across the North West, covering Manchester, Trafford, Cheshire, Blackpool, St Annes and Warrington.
We have different backgrounds, but we all share the same passion for fun and adventure in the outdoors.
My little boy, Jacob age 4, has been on a school trip today with his class from Staining primary school, they went to Stanley park. He has not stopped talking about his adventure day since I picked him up at 3pm. He has taken a massive shine to somebody called Tom? We honestly haven’t had one sentence without the name Tom in it this evening – this is so lovely for me to hear as my little boy is very shy and takes a while to feel comfortable with people, but he absolutely thinks the world of Tom. He excitedly told me how he chose Tom in the duck, duck, goose game & he couldn’t stop laughing when he was telling me all about it! He’s had a truly fantastic day! Thanks so much to Tom for making my little boy so so happy today. Xxxx
