Holiday Club

A School Holiday Club they will never forget (age 6 – 12)

Join us for plenty of fun in the forest with tree climbing, zip wires, den building, game playing and themed adventures like pirates, knights and superheroes. Our holiday school is a great way to encourage your child to grow in confidence through developing woodland skills and good old fashion fun with no screens allowed!

What to expect at School Holiday Club

Every day is different! There will be plenty of hide and seek, capture the flag and the freedom to enjoy running around, climbing and exploring (in fact parents thank us because their child is always ready for bedtime!).

Each day we try or perfect a new skill – from crafting a peg or mallet to using tools to create a woodland band of merry men with swords and bows and arrows. Pirate themed treasure hunts teach map reading and problem solving. Collecting water, learning signaling with light and sound and protecting yourself from the elements are all vital survival skills.

Risk is a big part of adventure play for children, but all the risks have been carefully assessed so that your child can experience a sense of accomplishment, from firelighting to cooking over a campfire and from our woodland assault course (as challenging as their ability allows) to carving their own whistles and Kazoos.

Summary of activities:

Included in the price: School Holiday Club

Every day the children will cook their own nutritious lunch using different outdoor cooking techniques from baking potatoes to grilling sausages. We also supply two pieces of fruit per child and a treat bar. If your child has specific nutritional requirements please get in touch as we are usually able to accommodate. But the children love that we always toast marshmallows over the campfire and drink lots of hot chocolate/juice. All of this is included in the price and is one less thing for you to stress about in the busy school holidays.

Holiday School group size

We only operate small groups of 20 or less so that every child has enough attention from our experienced leaders to gain the most from the experience and all activities.

Should I book School Holiday Club for a week or a day?

We will be building on skills throughout the holiday school and we hope that children attending will join us for the whole week, or a large proportion of the week so that they can get the most out of the experience. We will try and accommodate single days however places are limited.

What parents say:

“We struggle to get Easton to leave Paul’s camps because he’s having so much fun. With so many holiday clubs offering a variety on the same theme, there’s nothing else like this out there.” Caroline, Didsbury

“Building a fire was really cool. But jumping out a tree on a zip wire was the best!” Easton, 6, Didsbury
