We believe every child can benefit emotionally, intellectually and physically by time spent in the great outdoors. We want to inspire every child to learn through adventure and give every parent an opportunity to be part of the experience.
Our leaders are both Forest School practitioners and qualified in deliver outdoor adventure sessions – from target archery to climbing using harnesses.
We have close working relationships with schools across Manchester, Trafford, Warrington and Blackpool delivering a combination of in school and after care activities to more than 10,000 children every year. Children who attend our programme develop a greater sense of self confidence and self worth from outdoor play, and are able to carry this back into the classroom.
We Are Adventurers was founded in January 2013 by Forest School practitioner and former British soldier, Paul Wilcox and his wife, Jennifer. They have three children Eamon, Orlaith and Oisin and live in Chorlton, Manchester.
The parties, workshops and away weekends have been specially created to help children and adults fall in love with adventure, encouraging them to realise what they are capable of and how much fun they can have when they switch off the TV.
